About Us

CoCoWoCode: Connecticut College Women Code
Everybody knows that gender representation in technology related fields is not equal. At Connecticut College, the ratio from women to men is 60:40, a national avarage. In the computer science department, the demographic is flipped. We have 40% women and 60% men.
This website is aiming to change this demographic and increase diverse perspectives in the tech community. The goal is to give women something extra within the CS department to help combat the gender gap within the computer science.
A large part of this project is the Connecticut College chapter of ACM-W , or the Association for Computing Machinery.
